Terms of Service

These terms apply when you sign up for and use Origentify, a managed website service that builds, migrates, hosts and maintains websites for businesses (“the Service”). By creating an account or paying for a plan you agree to them. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf.

1. What we provide

• A website on one of our sector themes, either set up with starter pages or migrated from your current site.
• Hosting, security updates, SSL certificates and technical maintenance for as long as your plan is active.
• A dashboard where you edit pages, posts, images, menus and settings, and read messages sent through your site’s forms.

Migrations keep your content, page addresses and SEO data wherever the source site makes them available. We check every migrated address and tell you about anything we could not carry over; we cannot guarantee search rankings, which depend on search engines.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in details private and tell us at hello@origentify.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your dashboard and for keeping your contact information up to date.

3. Plans, payment and cancellation

• Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay.
• Your plan renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your dashboard; the site stays online until the end of the period you paid for.
• Payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires it or we agree otherwise in writing.
• If a payment fails and is not resolved, we may suspend the site after notifying you. We keep your content for at least 30 days after cancellation or suspension so you can come back or ask for a copy.
• We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days’ notice by email.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the text, images, domain names and other material you provide or that we migrate for you. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display it only as needed to run your website and the Service. You confirm that you have the right to use that material and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights.

Our themes, software and the design of the Service remain ours. You may use them for your website while your plan is active.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service for unlawful content, malware, phishing, spam, content that infringes others’ rights, or anything that puts the platform or other customers at risk. We may remove such content or suspend a site, with notice where reasonably possible.

6. Data of your site’s visitors

When visitors use the contact, booking or newsletter forms on your site, we store and forward those messages to you on your behalf. You decide why that data is collected; we process it only to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for telling your visitors how you use their data.

7. Availability and support

We work to keep sites fast and online and keep regular backups, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is kept short and, where possible, announced in advance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Origentify is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending the service

You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your plan. We may end the Service for an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Either way, you can ask for an export of your content within 30 days.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
